Letsema Consulting and Advisory is seeking to engage an exceptional, high performing Head of Consulting Operations to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures.
The role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Partner responsible for the operations of the Consulting and Advisory services, with a dotted reporting line to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will have overall oversight. The successful candidate will have to maintain control of diverse business operations in line with driving the business strategy, you will therefore be expected to be an experienced and efficient leader. At a high-level, the goal of the position is to help define, source, and manage various enabling capabilities for the consulting delivery teams, in order to drive sustainable growth as well as minimise risks associated with external engagements.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Consulting Partners and Executive Committee in setting and driving the vision and strategy within the Letsema Consulting and Advisory business
- Develop actionable operational strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed, to enhance company growth.
- Setup and / or manage the operating model and business relationships for enabling capabilities (or partnerships) for the consulting business, including HR, Finance and IT.
- Augment compliance to regulatory requirements, business policies, and procedures, acting decisively and timely to mitigate risks to the business and our clients.
- Operationalise a unified Risk and Governance framework, including providing oversight over client contracting to ensure it is consistently being done in accordance with company policy,
- Operationalise a Data privacy and security policy, and drive the management / adherence to this policy
- Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve these.
- Design and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistent quality of outputs across projects and practices.
- Evaluates newly implemented sales plans, constantly measuring efficiencies, adapting, and changing where required.
- Maintaining oversight and accountability for the business achieving key operational metrics including, but not limited to:
- Target utilisations and maintenance of pipeline
- Project profitability
- Internal organisational design
- Time management, Billing and work-in-progress management
- Contracting and collections efficiency
- Tender office management
- Knowledge and intellectual property management
- Organisation wide leveraging of pockets of excellence
- Supporting the transformation agenda for the business Support the CFO with financial projections and analysis of existing projects and business lines.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior management role at a medium to large size Management Consulting business.
