At the beginning of September, Letsema and its Founder and Chairman, Isaac Shongwe, were named the Winner of the Conscious Companies Awards 2020.
The awards celebrate and recognise those South African leaders and organisations that endeavour to align people, planet and profit in service of all stakeholders.
On Wednesday, 30 September, Shongwe received the official award at Letsema’s Johannesburg office, presented to him by Brenda Kali, CEO of Conscious Companies.
Prior to the handover, Kali spoke to the Letsema’s executive team about the work of Conscious Companies, and what it means to be an award winner.

In accepting the award when first announced, Isaac thanked Professor Mervyn King and the awards judging panel for recognising Letsema’s journey over the last 25 years and the work of those beyond the Letsema community.

All COVID-19 protocols were observed during the handover and discussions, with attendees’ cooperation highly appreciated.
